کارت اهدای عضو یکی از بزرگترین نمادهای فرهنگی در زمینه ارتقای فرهنگ اهدای عضو می باشد.

از زمان راه اندازی واحدهای فراهم آوری اعضای پیوندی در کشورمان، مراکز مختلفی شروع به ثبت نام و صدور کارت اهدای عضو نمودند. در روزها و ماه‌های اول تعداد ثبت نام به بیش از 100 نفر در ماه نمیرسید، اما با شروع تبلیغات فرهنگی و برگزاری جشن نفس، تعداد بیشتری از مردم نیک اندیش سرزمینمان با این امر مقدس آشنا شدند و تعداد افراد متقاضی کارت اهدای عضو به بیش از 500 نفر در روز رسید...تقاضای دریافت کارت اهدای عضو روز به روز بیشتر شد، به اندازه ای که مدت زمان دریافت کارت اهدای عضو برای هر فرد به بیش از 5ماه رسید. باتوجه به اینکه کارت اهدای عضو صرفاً نشان دهنده رضایت قلبی هر شخص برای اهدای عضو در زمان مرگ میباشد و جنبه‌‌ی قانونی ندارد؛ لذا بر آن شدیم تا سامانه ای راه اندازی کنیم که مدت زمان دریافت کارت را به طرز چشمگیری کاهش دهد تا انتظار رسیدن این کارت، مردم ایثارگر میهن عزیزمان را آزرده خاطر نسازد.با توجه به مسائل فوق و همچنین پیرو تاکید مقام محترم وزارت بهداشت، درمان و آموزش پزشکی، ابداع روشی برای ثبت نام و صدور آنی کارت اهدای عضو در دستور کار این وزارت قرار گرفت و نتیجه تمامی بررسی ها، سامانه ای است که پیش روی شما می باشد. در این سامانه کد ملی هر فرد به صورت آنلاین کنترل شده و در صورتیکه اطلاعات مطابق کارت ملی وارد شده باشد، کارت اهدای عضو صادر شده و متقاضی میتواند همان لحظه کارت خود را ذخیره و چاپ نماید.اطلاعات داوطلبین دریافت کارت بلافاصله وارد سامانه کشوری کارت اهدای عضو شده و در آن ذخیره می گردد. لازم به ذکر است این سامانه از طریق کلیه بیمارستانهای کشور قابل دسترسی بوده و امکان جستجوی نام افراد مرگ مغزی بستری در این بیمارستانها وجود دارد.امید است با راه اندازی این سامانه قدمی هرچند کوچک برای ارتقای فرهنگ مقدس اهدی عضو و نجات جان بیماران نیازمند به پیوند اعضا برداریم...لطفا به نکات زیر توجه داشته باشید:
- عزیزانی که برای دریافت کارت اهدای عضو از طریق سامانه ehda.ir  یا سامانه های مشابه ثبت نام کرده اند، توجه داشته باشند که جهت پیگیری کارت خود لازم است به همان سامانه مراجعه کنند.
- داوطلبانی که در سامانه های دیگر ثبت نام نموده و از طریق این سامانه ها و یا از طریق مراجعه به هر یک از واحد های فراهم آوری کشور یا ارگانهای دیگر کارت دریافت نموده اند همچنین می توانند برای ثبت اطلاعات خود در سامانه www.ehdacenter.ir نیز اقدام نمایند تا اطلاعات آنها در سامانه مرکزی نیز ثبت شده و از تمام کشور قابل دسترسی باشد. .
- در صورتیکه علاوه بر ثبت اطلاعات تان در سامانه مرکزی اهدای عضو تمایل دارید کارت اهدای عضو را نیز دریافت نمائید، می توانید کارت خود را بلافاصله پس از تکمیل اطلاعات پرینت گرفته و کارت پرینت شده را پرس کرده و استفاده نمایید.

The demand for organ donation cards increased day by day, so much so that the period of receiving organ donation cards for each person reached more than 5 months.  Considering that the organ donation card only shows the heartfelt consent of each person to donate an organ at the time of death and has no legal aspect; Therefore, we decided to launch a system that significantly reduces the time it takes to receive the card so that waiting for the card to arrive does not bother the self-sacrificing people of our beloved homeland.

According to the above issues and also following the emphasis of the ministry of health and medical education, the invention of a method for registering and issuing organ donation cards instantly was on the agenda of the ministry and the result of all the reviews is the system that is ahead of you. In this system, each person's national code is controlled online and if the information is entered in accordance with the national card, the organ donation card is issued and the applicant can store and print his/her card at the same time.

The information of the volunteers for receiving the card is immediately logged into the national organ donation card system and stored in it. It should be noted that this system is accessible through all hospitals in the country and it is possible to search for the names of brain death patients hospitalized in these hospitals.

We hope that by launching this system, we will take a small step to promote the sacred culture of organ donation and save the lives of patients in need of organ transplants.

Each of us can become an organ donation ambassador

According to the reporter of the Young Journalists Club of Tabriz, Farhad Choopani had suffered brain death 18 days ago due to an accident and in a godly act and with the consent of his family, five organs of his body were donated to kidney, heart and liver patients and gave them a second life, the body of this young man was buried today in his hometown of Yingjeh village of Azarshahr. The effect of the brain-dead family's awareness of the difference between brain death and coma is important for organ donation satisfaction:

Unlike a coma, there is no way for a person who has died of brain death due to brain and stem death to recover.  To confirm brain death, neurosurgeons, internal medicine and anesthesiology specialists are invited separately to visit the patient and confirm or deny the brain death to the donor.  These specialists are selected directly from the ministry without the intervention of a single unit. Unfortunately, many relatives of the brain dead person, due to lack of necessary knowledge, think that their loved one will return like a comatose person, but it is a misconception!  Within a few weeks, the complete death of the person will lead to brain death.

One of the reasons some families are reluctant to donate their beloved brain-dead organ is to deny brain death.  Because they think that when their loved one moves his chest, he is alive!  While they do not realize that their loved one's heart is beating due to artificial respiration, they do not know that after several days during the production of toxins in the body, the heart of the brain dead person will definitely stop moving.

Therefore, each of us can become an organ donation ambassador by registering an organ donation card and talking about this issue in the family and friends, and provide the role of creating awareness of families about the difference between brain death and coma.

Organ and tissue transplantation have a long history in Iran. Some researchers believe that Avicenna was the first to suture nerves together.

 However, organ transplantation using modern methods and technologies goes back to 1930s. Registered data from Iran shows an acceptable progressing trend in the quantity and quality of various types of organ and tissue transplantation in Iran over recent decades. For instance, Iran has one of the most successful kidney transplantation programs in the region, along with various attempts of policy-makers in order to provide preventive approaches for end-stage renal diseases, distribute dialysis equipment, and enhance cadaveric organ donation.

Organ transplantation is a new issue in medical science. It is an important achievement and a sign of the progression and ability of medical centers around the world. Governments, populations, the medical community and people involved in culture, art, and media all have a decisive role in the culture of organ donation, which is the only way to guarantee that the healthy organs of a brain-dead person can continue to work and save the lives of people in need of organ transplantation. The brain death phenomenon and its possible application in organ transplantation, while offering new hope for the salvation of a number of patients, has led to many ethical, cultural, and legal issues. Ethical issues in organ transplantation are very complicated due to many social factors such as religion, culture, and traditions of the affected communities. The ethical and legal points of removing organs from the body of a living or cadaveric source, the definition of brain death, the moral and legal conditions of the donor and the recipient, and the financial relationship between them and many others, are all critical issues in organ transplantation. While there may be no available explicit solution to these issues, they should be rigorously considered by the experts. Efforts to systematically eliminate barriers and solve problems in organ transplantation, can not only reduce the costs of maintaining brain-dead patients and encourage patients that need organ transplantation but can also prevent immoral and illegal activities.

All about brain death:

In brain death, blood flow to the brain is stopped, oxygen is not supplied to it. The brain loses all its function and suffers irreversible damage.  Although other organs, including the heart, liver, and kidneys, are still functioning after brain death, they will gradually decline over the next few days.  The brain dead patient does not speak, does not see, does not respond to any external stimuli, and will not be able to breathe without the use of a ventilator.

What are the most common causes of brain death?

Traffic accidents, severe head trauma, falling from height, waterboarding, poisonings, internal brain bleeding as well as stroke.

How does brain death occur?

Any severe damage to the brain can lead to tissue swelling. Since the brain is located in a closed space (skull bone) and there is no room for this volume increase, it puts pressure on the lower parts of the brain (brainstem), prevents circulation to the upper parts and prevents oxygenation more than ever.

This process may take a few minutes or days. The heart continues to function with the help of the ventilator, delivering oxygen to other organs, while brain tissue and brainstem, which are responsible for controlling breathing and heart rate, are deprived of this vital substance (oxygen) and die.

Why does the patient have heart rate and respiration for some time in brain death?

 The heart continues to beat as long as it has oxygen.  In the brain-dead patient, the ventilator will provide the oxygen needed for the heartbeat and will fail as soon as the device is separated from the heart patient.

What is a coma? Is it brain death?

Coma is a type of brain dysfunction that causes a severe decrease in the level of consciousness and does not respond to any of the stimulations around it. In a coma, there is a chance of recovery for some patients, while in brain death, the patient's recovery is impossible and his death is certain within a few days.

What is vegetable life and what is different with brain death?

 Vegetable life is completely different from brain death. 

This situation occurs almost always following the coma. Although the person appears to be awake (his eyes is open) and has a series of universal movements, there is no mental and cognitive performance. These are actually patients who seek extreme brain damage for many years of life, and in view, without being able to communicate with their surroundings.

Can the patient's appearance indicate that he has suffered brain death?

 No, a person with brain death is like someone who is fast asleep.  Her lungs are filled with air through a ventilator, her heart is beating due to oxygen, and her skin is even warm and pink.

Does the patient feel pain following brain death?

 No.  After brain death, there will be no pain or sorrow in humans.

Have there been cases of brain death that have improved?

 No, it is not possible for a brain dead patient to recover and return at all.  The things you've heard about brain death and then recovery are not really brain death.

 These patients are in a deep coma, but their relatives, or even some doctors and nurses who do not know enough about the difference between brain death and coma, have made such a misconception.
